A la playa, Kansas Smitty's House Band has a touch of Miami flare to show off. Their Summer EP is a collection of music that showcases their Latin side. Chilanga is a lighthearted three-strain melody by Adrian Cox with beautifully lyrical solos from Pete Horsfall and Joe Webb. Beijinhos, which means little kisses, features twice on the set since Pedro Segundo’s playing on the live version was too hot to let go. Merry Go Round is a scorching bebop number reminiscent of Bud Powell's “Un Poco Loco”. Solos from Dave Archer and Giacomo Smith have the energy level at a max all the way through.
